It is most important to let the gala secretary know at the earliest opportunity if you have to withdraw so the next swimmer can be allocated the position.

Parents as Officials: As this is a Leinster Swimming Meet, each swimmer must have a parent/guardian available to cover time-keeping or turn judging duties. Only under legitimate circumstances can the parent be excused from providing official duties. Leinster Swimming are dependent on parents providing this support and their galas cannot be run without it. The newer parents who have not undertaken duties previously are encouraged to attend the officials meeting at the commencement of each Session so they can be clear on the tasks involved.

The Club is required to provide 1 official per 4 swimmers, the club gala secretary will endeavour to allocate duties to parents according to the session their swimmer is competing in. However, you may be required to cover duties after your swimmer has finished competing for that session. Parents are responsible for their duties and if circumstances dictate that they cannot fulfill their duty, the parent must arrange their own cover and notify the gala secretary or team manager as to the change.

Deadline: Club deadline Wednesday 11th May

Order of Events: Please see your email from Curragh Gala Secretary for the full schedule for the weekend events.

Scratches: Scratches must be notified by 4pm the evening before the gala starts, i.e. Thurs 26th May
